Gretchen Prevatt - Senior Legal Assistant
Gretchen Prevatt brings nearly thirty years of multifaceted legal experience to A+ Law. Since 1995, she has been a steady and highly skilled presence in the office of Bruce W. Parrish, Jr., and now continues her vital role with A+ Law, serving clients with precision, poise, and unwavering dedication.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Gretchen began her career in military communications, holding Top Secret Clearance while stationed in Puerto Rico. After completing her service, she earned a degree in court reporting and transitioned into the legal profession, quickly proving herself indispensable. Her expertise spans civil litigation, estate planning, corporate filings, bankruptcies, foreclosures, partitions, marital dissolutions, and more. Known for her exceptional breadth of knowledge and dependable execution, she remains a cornerstone of the firm’s operations.
Gretchen’s work ethic and lifelong commitment to excellence were shaped early on by an exceptional family foundation. Her father earned four separate master’s degrees across diverse fields—a rare testament to intellectual pursuit and discipline—while her mother served as a nuclear medicine and ultrasound technician, applying scientific precision and compassion in a demanding healthcare field. Their example instilled in Gretchen a deep respect for knowledge, service, and follow-through, values she continues to live by both professionally and personally.
Outside the office, Gretchen is a lifelong writer and published author. Her poetry was featured in local newspapers in her hometown of Boone, North Carolina during her youth, and in 2023, surrounding a period of personal challenge, she completed a children’s book titled Tales from Beneath the Banyan Leaves—a quiet testament to her creativity, resilience, and drive.
Her compassion reaches far beyond this page. For over 12 years, Gretchen has been deeply involved in animal rescue, specializing in reuniting lost pets with their families. Through digital sleuthing, persistence, and heart, she’s helped thousands of animals return home—impacting lives across her community with reunions that bring families back together.
Originally born in Wisconsin and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Gretchen values family deeply. She and her husband Sean—a commercial plumber and proud member of Local Union 630 for over 30 years—share a blended family of devoted adult children: a son who studied business and public safety telecommunications, another son who served in the military, and a daughter working as a nurse. Their home is a reflection of unity, perseverance, and shared purpose—qualities that anchor Gretchen’s approach to life and work.
Gretchen’s story is one of strength, steadfast service, and enduring care. At A+ Law, she brings the firm’s values to life with every case, every conversation, and every moment of integrity-driven support.
